THE ESSENCE OF KARATE RESIDES IN THE HEART

Providing the community top level instruction in one of the most effective martial arts for the past 20 years, U.M.A. is overseen by three generations of martial artists whose life mission is to pass on leadership abilities, such as being mentally strong, able, and confident, that forever brand each and every student.

We create a structured and comfortable environment making Shotokan fun to learn. In addition to teaching fundamental life skills, we stress the importance of self-worth, humility, perseverance, sense of purpose, self-confidence, and kinship, as well as academics.

We reward academic success with open acknowledgement in front of the class, instilling pride in oneself as the utmost form of positive reinforcement. Students are constantly reminded that their actions are a direct reflection of the dojo and as such U.M.A. values.
