Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that emphasizes ground fighting and submission holds to control and defeat an opponent. You'll learn to control and submit opponents in a friendly and challenging environment.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Kids teaches children self-defense, discipline, and physical fitness through ground-fighting techniques and submission holds. Kids will build their confidence and develop a solid foundation in BJJ, regardless of their skill level.

No problem! Everyone is welcome and can learn martial arts. Classes are tailored to students needs and we all work together as a family to help each other grow. As the saying goes, "a year from now you will wish you had started today". See you soon!
Everyone warms up at their own pace but it generally doesn't take long for our instructors to bring students out of their shell with a few laughs and giggles. You're welcome to come by a little early and introduce them to the instructors, and/or let them try out a class - no pressure!
The little warriors class is for our youngest martial artists: Ages 4-5. Kids classes are suitable for ages 6 -16 and tailored based on age, skill, and size. Generally, ages 17 and older should join the adult classes. There is a limited amount of flexibility based on size, strength, and skill, and instructors can make suggestions as needed.
While it is a contact sport, we pride ourselves on putting the safety of our students first! Students learn how to be good training partners so they don't hurt themselves or others. We prioritize safety with structured classes, proper warm-ups, teaching safe falling techniques, and using protective equipment during sparring.
